3/7/17 UPDATE - The cube underneath the cage will be the same as nationals.  Four 1.5 inch pieces of 5/8 inch backing foam in the cube.
The drop pipe section will have six 0.25 ounce weights attached to the bottom of the 4 inch diameter pipe section arranged is a 2x3 pattern.  These are tire balancing weights.  On the top of the handle will be a 3 inch length of the 5/8 inch diameter backing foam.  With only four of the weights, the drop pipe prop floated to the surface.  This arrangement should allow the prop to stay upright in case the robot drops it.  The studs will not be in the cube.
The foam is Frost King 5/8 inch x 20 feet Gray backer rod.

It is available at Lowes or Home Depot for $3.97.   https://www.lowes.com/pd/Frost-King-0-625-in-x-20-ft-Gray-Backer-Rod-Foam-Window-Weatherstrip/3010567

The teams only have about 30 seconds after the ball is released to get the cube out from under the cage.  Teams can move the cube however they like.

NOTE:
  • The repair section can be completed in any order.  The only Track repair that can be completed prior to track 1 is the Flip Section.
  • If a team triggers the valve lever (i.e. Ball Release) and the ball falls off the course, due to inadequate repairs, there is NO ball reset.
